Pre-Show Guest Guide
Welcome to Around The Layout!
I am excited to have you as a guest on Around The Layout! The goal of the podcast to share your model railroading story with our growing audience. To ensure we capture it well, I have prepared this pre-show guide to help you get ready.
The Technical Stuff:
Don’t change a thing from the air test! Use the same gear, computer and location that we settled on and we’ll be good to go.
During The Show:
Simply put, the more you talk, the better! We want to hear your story and there’s nobody better than you to tell it. I will have some pre-show notes and some topics that I want to ask you about, but feel free to talk about topics you are passionate about. You’re permitted to talk about anyone or anything that has influenced you in the hobby, including other podcasts, YouTube channels, etc. The only real rule is to keep it clean so the younger members of our hobby can enjoy the podcast.
After The Show:
Once we have wrapped up our recording session, I’ll ask you to send me photos of your layout and/or the topics we have discussed. These photos are posted on our Facebook page in conjunction to the release of the podcasts so listeners can reference the photos while listening.
When The Show Airs:
Shows typically air anywhere from 1-5 weeks after recording. When the podcast releases, please help spread the word by sharing the show to your social media accounts and with friends and family. The idea is to get your story told to as many listeners as possible!
